The music record is a black vinyl record inside a cover with an assortment of colors. The record cover was of psychedelic art with colors and pictures of the 1960s. The music defines culture and sub culture of the time and the Psychedelic music was an enormous influence during the 60s. Music is always a measure of the society problems and cultural moments and the 60s was no different. Psychedelic rock was influenced by the drug culture and appealed to love and human concern as did folk music. Psychedelic music leaders of the 60s were Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Pink Floyd and groups of that nature. Most of the psychedelic musicians dabbled in drugs and immersed themselves in the culture to achieve freedom and escape the reality of the times. The psychedelic music sung and expressed the sexual revolution and inspired by the LSD drug use. The other music of the 60s, folk rock singers like Bob Dylan and Joan Baez called for social justice and human rights. The Rhythm & Blues R&B and Soul define the sound of the Blacks during the 60s with artists like James Brown and Aretha Franklin. The peace sign was a circular symbol with three lines made out of wood with multiple colors. The peace symbol or what we call peace sign is a design that represents the 60s and the culture. In 1958, British artist Gerald Holtom drew the symbol, intending the drawing to be an icon for the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War. By 1960 the figure migrated to the United States and began peace movement. With the social and economic issues of the 60s the peace movement used the symbol to show peace around the world. The protesters of the Vietnam War and the psychedelic rockers of the 60s adopted the symbol during marchers and everyday use. The peace movement used the symbol and turned to using necklaces, T-shirts and other items with the symbol. The Vietnam War was an unpopular war that the citizens of the United States were against and the peace sign represented the discontent. The freedom marchers of the 1960s also used the symbol as peace for all. This sign has become internationally recognized and still used by peace activists these days.
