Many Americans consider the pizza as one of their favorite dishes. This dish was imported from Italy after World War II, were many of the soldiers returning from the war developed a “taste” for pizza. Soon, it became popular and many American pizza chains opened, like Pizza Hut or Dominos Pizza. We have achieved this thanks to globalization, which allow us to spread and receive culture through digital media in a quick and effective way. Eventually, the country with more media is the one that will diffuse more effectively. This have lead to a cultural imperialism, were the strongest countries dominate popular culture. This is mostly reflected on our entertainment industry. Most of the movies on the top charts are American, this is mostly because we produce thousands of movies and we are also making movies that appeal not just to Americans, but the whole world.
