Plastic Pollution
Have you ever gone to any ocean and found plastic in the water? This problem is known as water pollution and it’s majorly affecting the Earth.
Did you know that billions of pounds of plastic can be found swirling in the ocean? According to Ecowatch, about 100,000 animals die from plastic pollution each year. Hundred thousand animals, what if 100,000 humans died. It’d be a catastrophe and people would care about how randomly 100,00. Ecowatch stated plastic constitutes approximately 90 percent of all trash floating on the ocean’s surface with about 46,000 pieces per square mile. This number could be reduced and it’s crazy how much plastic we use. These are some reasons why people should clean up plastic.

Ecowatch said that it takes about 500 to 1,000 years for plastic to degrade. This problem will not help itself and we need to take action by picking up any type of garbage including non-plastic items and throw them away. You could also use fabric bags when you go shopping and metal or plastic bottles when you are drinking something. If you don’t have extra money to go ahead and buy these items you can find materials around your house and make these items on your own with different materials. Overall, you could approach this problem in many ways.
All in all plastic pollution is a problem and most people don’t know that this problem exists. People could help in many ways like donating their time or using alternative things other than plastic bags and bottles. You could also use reusable bottles. Overall, plastic pollution is a problem that needs to be dealt with.
