In my second video, I caught myself looking down at my paper and looking at my clock and checking the time, which could be very distracting to the client and is something that I need to work on and improve. With that being said I felt more connected with my client when we did had eye contact, and during that time my client felt more safe with her problems, and she felt a sense of understanding and respect. Voice qualities are along the same lines as eye contact. It is very important to make your client feel comfortable. Comparing my first video to my last video I kept the same vocal tone both times. I kept a reasonable speech rate and vocal tone in both interviews that allowed the clients to be able to understand what I was communicating towards them and to be able to feel a sense of comfort in the tone of my voice. I wasn’t faced with any awkward situations, so something I would like to practice/and skill I would like to gain would be practicing my tone of voice when I was faced with something that might throw me off guard that could possibly change my tone of voice. Something that I need to improve on is taking the time to summarize everything I was told and not just jump to one specific topic or problem and instead look at the big picture. At times I found myself jumping to conclusions before talking it all out and summarizing everything. I did find it affective to paraphrase and summarize so I was able reflect what the client said back to them to make sure I was understanding what they were saying correctly and during that time the client is able to add any important information they might of left
