All throughout my school career, starting all the way in elementary school, school came very easy for me. I found that I rarely had to try hard at anything because it seems like I just knew it. With very little studying I was able to maintain high grades. In middle school I was put in advance math classes and it still wasn't a challenge but then in my junior year of high school things started to get difficult.…

Mr. Griffin is a strict teacher who has no exceptions, but, truly does care about his own students, Lois Duncan descriptions of the kid’s anger aren’t exactly realistic Student’s do get mad and do say words they don’t really mean but, most of the time they would never go out and intentionally harm the teacher. “As for those who have no paper to turn in, you may consider your grade F for this assignment (14.)…
As a young 13 year old in 8th grade, I was not expecting a reading teacher to once had been a rapper. As a teacher, his name was Mr. Hill but as a rapper, his name was Killa C. Everyone in 8th grade heard about him being a rapper before the year even started. His music seemed to be sort of devil worshipping and not true to his life. If I must say, it was stunning to see downtown Billings in a music video.…
From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…
What is “happiness” and how is it obtained? The word “happiness” is defined as ‘a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy’. The decisions people make on a day-to-day basis are to reach the ultimate goal of being happy. While everyone strives to obtain happiness, not everyone succeeds. Writing a eulogy speech, is a perfect chance to express oneself. A short time to show one's artistic and poetic prowess. Maybe even some time to get out some much needed anger or regret. Writing such a speech could even be fun, right? Wrong!…

A significant opportunity in my life that has had a major impact on me is an organization called Kids Are Scientists Too. KAST is a student-run non-profit corporation that aims to inspire young scholars to be interested in science and learning through fun, interactive science experiments led by passionate teachers. I was one of those passionate teachers. When I first heard of KAST, I immediately knew that I could contribute to the organization. I applied to become the lead at an elementary school, and after I was deemed fit for the role, I was chosen as the lead of a local elementary school.…
Quinceanera I celebrated my quinceanera on August the 15th because my birthday was on August 25th. It was on a school day so we did it before. Hispanic people celebrate their sweet 15 because it’s a tradition it's the same as sweet 16. I got to wear my big dress.…
It was a normal day in science class, the soft sound of pencils rubbing against paper swam through the air in an almost harmonic synchrony. Ms. Medina, my teacher, had just distributed the work packets to my entire class. I looked at it’s thickness and immediately got scared, it was three pages long! And I hadn’t paid even the most miniscule amount of attention, I was miffed for sure. I looked up to my friend, “Hey dude, were you paying attention to anything?”…
In my short life of fourteen years, nothing major or very noteworthy has happened. I don’t have a story yet. So, instead of telling you about little parts of my little life, I’ll tell you about the whole epilogue in my Novel of Life. First thing first, I was brought into this wonderful world on December 18, 2001, in Westerville, Ohio. Obviously, I don’t remember this, but apparently I was a bit of a fussy baby.…
I slouched at the table in the boring, gray counselor's room, headphones squeezing my ears, as I did my first hearing and vision screening. The counselor played a series of beeps, and I gave a thumbs up for every time I heard something. Before I knew it, the test was over, and I walked out without giving any further thought to the screening. I had no reason to, as my mom had explained to me earlier that this was simply a mandatory, routine check-up, nothing to worry about. Soon, I was back in my beloved kindergarten class, learning how to spell, read, and write.…
I have had some good teachers as well as some bad experiences in science classes in the past. Although I don’t remember too much about my science classes when I was in elementary and middle school, I do remember a lot from high school and have had quite a few science classes in college. In middle school I did a lot of reading. It was actually completely all reading assignments.…
Although my scholastic career may not seem any different from that of a normal student, I have not followed a typical academic path. My experiences go beyond that of a normal classroom style of learning. Unlike many of my peers, I have known what I have wanted to do since I was a kid. I have spent my years during high school fine tuning my dreams and aspirations into a plan.…
