Race is someone's hair, skin, and eye color in other words, some one’s physical characteristics. I am Caucasian also known as white. Being in a Caucasian dominated society can come with very little challenges. Race is something that affects me on a daily basis and indeed has the most impact on my life. As you will read, some of my surrounding have made me very conscious about my skin color, how it affects me and others as well. Growing up in the lake county area I was not exposed to very much diversity, however that did not cause me to be hateful of others people, instead I was taught to always have an open heart and be accepting of other people. This outlook allowed me to prosper when I reached high school and even college as I face more diversity. The older I got I realized and learned more about the diversity around me. $15 for minimum wage, gay rights in all 50 states these are just some of the amazing accomplishments that have been made, I believe all of the things talking about previously things like my race, my age, and what region I am in have a large make up of my political identity. I believe that I fall on the more liberal side. I am more liberal because I being that the government should do its job to to protect civil liberties and as well as individual human rights. Many times the liberal side discredits the role of religion opposed to conservatives who who carry many religious ideologies with them in their beliefs. When growing up I was never raised around religion let alone really knew what it was. As I had seemed to get older I noticed people used their religious beliefs to defend their side of the argument. To me I always found this conversation to be frustrating. I think that being a liberal in 2016 will be very interesting during the election, I believe I am in a time when things are changing. I truly believe that my beliefs are what's right for the world. Being associated with the liberal party essentially at my age in my opinion is and advantage. You will find a lot more people my age who would agree with me. I consider people who are conservatives to be people who do know acknowledge the facts or science. If I were to be a conservative in 2016 in college I feel Like I just might have tomatoes thrown at
