In the initial observation of his written work, Student A lacked variety in his piece. His thoughts and words were well organized but very mechanical. For our third session I decided I wanted to explore with him on how to brainstorm ideas before he writes an assignment. I had drawn up a blank graphic organizer and explained how to use it. I asked him to pick a topic and insert it in the middle of the organizer. He chose to write about his family vacation to Disney World. I then instructed him to start branching out different experiences he had during his vacation and write them in each circle. He immediately filled almost every circle of the organizer. I then took a sheet of paper and asked him to write me a small essay using the organizer
