Have you ever been in a situation where you are looking at someone struggle while they work on something and you're just there like why is he/she doing it like that instead of doing it this other way? Well I have and probably with one of the most stubborn person i know. That would be my dad, he hates it when someone does something he can't. But at least i got something out of working with him, and it was that not everyone has the same way of doing things there can be more than a single way to accomplish the same goal.
For one my dad is a quiet person he doesn't really talk so the last thing you would ever hear him say is can you help me. Anyway he works in construction and he uses a jackhammer. Every so often he has to change out parts that get worn down but he will try and save money by doing it himself, which is not always the best thing to do. There is two big reasons as to why it's not one of his better ideas because he usually doesn't know how that tool comes apart so he will try and force thing and will end up making it way worse and will now have to replace the broken parts. Reason two would be putting it back together to someone paying attention to how things come apart it's easy to put it back together for the most part but for him since he just pulls everything off by force it makes it really hard to remember how it went.

Maybe after like 30 minutes I would be done with it but during the process he will be there standing over my shoulder looking at how i am doing it and telling me what not to do. Like he was telling me not to use too much force with a flat head screw driver and right when he said that my hand slipped and i made a little whole in the palm of my left hand. This showed me that he thinks in a way that is more precautious un like me were as I have to experience something so i can learn from

The only thing that was life changing is that my dad changed jobs from working in Iowa city and being gone all the time, to switching jobs in Clarence so I’d see him more. When I was littler, me and my brothers would get up super early Christmas morning so that we could hopefully open all the presents that were underneath the tree. We would separate the presents and try to figure out what was inside each one, while we waited for our parents to get up.…

I lived with My Mom, and my big sister Myah that just turned 16 last month. We didn't have a dad because he left us when I was just about 3 months old.…

Try to imagine your mom or dad has to go to a foreign country that you have never been or even heard of, for long periods of time. That seemed to happen a lot to my dad. My dad is a Navy Chief in the United States, he goes on deployments a lot and for long periods of time. My mom, my sister, and I would wait near the pier for several hours, before the sun rose to see my dad set off on his deployment. I would try not to doze off, closing my tired eyes every now and then while also trying to stay awake long enough to attempt saying “goodbye” to the parent I wish would stay.…

Well, a few years ago around 2012 and 2013, my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer, it was a devastating shock to people in my family, and to others. He seemed to always do somewhat well with his health, he was an active person, so no one really expected him to get something like this. We prayed and prayed for him to get better, but he never seemed to get that way. I can remember a time when my grandma’s church had VBS, my grandpa felt bad that he couldn’t come because of his plummeting health, he couldn’t really leave the house, he couldn’t really do anything, just because of this unexpected burden that happened. Somehow, he brought himself down there, it was quite amazing to see that he was so strong to do so.…

A Real Man knows that the ant in the old fable is wise and smart, while the grasshopper is shortsighted, lazy, greedy, and impulsive. So he endeavors to be like the ant.
