They decided that that day they would go and learn about some famous people. First they had had breakfast. They ate at a place called Le Bal Cafe. There they had a baguette, French bread rolls, Croissants, and Pain au chocolat. When they finished eating they went to learn about the famous people. The first person they learned about was Coco Chanel. Coco was born in 1883. She was a French fashion designer and businesswoman. She was also the founder and namesake of the Chanel brand. She later died in 1971. The second person they learned about was Thierry Henry. He was a famous soccer player. Thierry was born in 1977 in Ulis, France. He is now age 39. The next famous person they wanted to learn about was Claude Monet. Claude was a famous painter and the founder of French impressionist painting. He was born in 1840 in Paris, France and later died in 1926 in Giverny, France. The last famous person they learned about was Brigitte Bardot. Brigitte was born in 1934 in Paris, France. Brigitte is a French actress, singer, and fashion model who later became an animal rights activist. She now stands 82 years old and has one child. They found Timmy waiting for them. They searched for the next fact. When they found it Minnie read it. It said potatoes were illegal in France between the years of 1748 and 1772. They asked Timmy about that. He said, “Yes, that is true. Its sad, but true.” They all looked at each other and shouted, “Wow that’s so cool!” They peeped around the corner and saw the next fact it said the gallic rooster is the national animal of France. They thought that was really cool. They left that fact and saw the next one, it said there is only one stop sign in the entire city of Paris. They saw stairs. They went up the stairs, turned the corner and saw another fact, it said France was the first country to introduce the license plate.
