Working in the medical field there is always a chance of exposing yourself to harmful chemicals, bodily fluids, radiation, etc... It is important to take careful precautions to prevent these type of things from happening. Following standard procedure is necessary to keep yourself in good health, Lifting equipment or patients incorrectly can cause long term back issues or even an injury. Making sure you are well rested and stable is also important to your safety, you don 't want to doze off and do something such as poke yourself with a needle. Knowing how to keep yourself safe and in good health will prevent mistakes like these from happening.
