The topic I chose is Nosferatu vs .Dracula and the three points that I will be using for this essay. Did you know that there are different types of vampires? A lot of people never knew that because a lot of people think all vampires are the same. My points are physical difference, humanness (quality of being human), and living corpse. I will be comparing Dracula and Nosferatu with my three points that I chose to use to compare how they are different.
The first point is physical difference and there are so many physical differences between them. Dracula is more “normal” looking. Also, he isn’t considered creepy, so he is hot and powerful. Nosferatu is more a monster and is creepy and looks more like an animal and has fingernails like claws

Dracula is more like a human he looks normal and can be around people (“Nosferatu vs. Dracula”, 2006). Nosferatu has jagged teeth that are similar to human teeth (“Nosferatu vs. Dracula, 2006). Dracula also has teeth that are similar but are kinda different. Overall they both qualities that are like human and if you compare it to a human it would be similar.
The last point is victim killing and they kill two different ways. The way Dracula kills is by sucking their blood until there is no more blood (“Who was the real Count Dracula”, 2008). This is similar to the ways the modern movies do it. Nosferatu kills his victims where he just attacks them and they die right away like if they are struck by a disease (“Nosferatu vs. Dracula”, 2006). These are the ways that they kill their victims and it will take longer for Dracula to kill his victims, but Nosferatu victims die so fast and they both have killed a lot in total in the movies.
Overall Dracula and Nosferatu are very different. Nosferatu is the one who is the monster. Dracula is the normal looking vampire. They both killed their victims in different ways and one dead faster than the other. After looking at the difference between them it wouldn’t be hard for anyone not to notice the difference between them.I gave you the points and now you know

Bram Stoker’s Dracula vs Vlad the Impaler It is a known fact that Bram Stoker based his famous novel ‘Dracula’ on the legend of Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia. Vicious acts that defy humanity, but most importantly his insatiable thirst for blood and the fact that he impales all his enemies still twitching bodies on a stick earned him his nickname Vlad Tepes, or Vlad the Impaler in english. Although the word ‘dracula’ has a distinctive meaning than the word people associate it with today, a vampire. ‘Dracula’ was a title given to Vlad III, as a son of Vlad Dracul and a member of the House of Drăculești. Due to the blood sucking Count Dracula, the word ‘Dracula’ began to get its connection to vampires.…

Vlad the Impaler and H H Holmes had the same tactics but were not the same person. Vlad the Impaler was someone who impaled people, and H H Holmes was someone who was a thief, committed a bunch of frauds, and he was also a murderer. The reasons that I think Vlad the Impaler and H H Holmes had the same tactics but were not the same person is because Vlad the Impaler had a dark childhood but H H Holmes was a privileged child and was very intelligent, Vlad the Impaler impaled people while H H Holmes committed a bunch of crimes and murdered people, and finally Vlad the Impaler was ambushed and put to death, but H H Holmes was hung and his hanging was planned out. The first reason someone may think that Vlad the Impaler and H H Holmes had the…

Count Dracula versus Frankenstein’s monster; the two beasts seem very different, yet also show similarities. Although Dracula is a thousands of years old vampire and Victor’s creation was merely born when he awoke, both monsters are the main part of their perspective stories. The roles of these monsters are vital it their tales because without them, their separate protagonists would have no fight; the two sagas would be nothing more than journal entries about boring everyday…

Still, many people cannot deny that Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” is an exceptional literary creation that stood at the origins of the cult of vampires. Not only did this Victorian novel, written in 1897, become a landmark piece of gothic literature, but also it defined the contemporary form and image of vampires and paved the way for multiple interpretations in modern culture. Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein from 1831 and Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands are both extraordinary works of art with over a century between them. Both the book and film have a very strong similar theme between them that goes deeper than the plot and characters. Frankenstein and Edward Scissorhands have the same theme that the creatures aren’t always the monsters, humans can be the real monsters, they are not accepting of beings who are different. Frankenstein’s monster and Edward were both created in very similar ways but the chance to interact with humans were very different. They both came to life through inanimate parts.…

Whenever the name Nosferatu is brought up I automatically think of that one Spongebob Squarepants episode where Count Orlock (Max Shcreck) can be found lurking in the corner flickering the lights on and off again. Now even though it was just a quick part in a children’s television show Orlock still frightened me to my core. Little did I know back then that that powerful character came from one of the most significant horror films. That is a strong statement, but I believe that F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu may be one of the greatest horror films made. Ninety years later and this movie is still heavily relevant in today’s horror scene.…

Vampires have changed over the years and the depictions of vampires through the years give us an idea about the anxieties of that time period, the way the people viewed the pressing issues of that time period. I am going to discuss the similarities and the differences between Bram stoker’s Dracula and the film Nosferatu. Dracula was portrayed as a tall old man with a white moustache who appeared to be a human and he had a charm about him normally associated with aristocrats whereas in the film Nosferatu, Count Orlok’s appearance is nightmarish and closer to that of a monster than of a human. He is shown to have misshapen eyebrows, huge pointed ears, long claws which are sharp for nails, walks around in an abnormal way and does not have any of the charm of Dracula. While Count Dracula has shape shifting abilities where he can transform into a wolf, dog and a bat, Count Orlok does not transform or change into anything.…

An Analysis of Dennis Foster 's “The Little Children Can Be Bitten” Dracula by Irish author Bram Stoker is a seminal piece of Gothic horror fiction. The novel 's portrayal of an undead master (the titular character) being chased by Van Helsing and his band of vampire hunters has been consumed for over a century. Dennis Foster 's critical article “The little children can be bitten: A Hunger for Dracula” uses a psychoanalytic approach to analyze this influential work of literature. In his article, Foster makes a compelling, successful argument about the nature of the novel and how it relates to the inner workings of the human mind. He posits that the visceral, unchained figure of Dracula represents the innate desire for the mother and a return…

Vampire literature has changed dramatically over the centuries. The old vampire is a blood-thirsty, emotionless monster, this is seen, for example in the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. The new vampire, the sympathetic vampire, is more open-ended. The vampire is closer to human, beautiful, a teenager, an American, and could in fact be your next door neighbor. The new…

    Good Vs Evil In Dracula

One of the main themes was the good versus the evil played out extensively through the novel. Most of the characters introduced are either good or evil. Dracula obviously one of the most foul and vile creatures received, but by further inspection to what most of the other characters do it’s hard to decide whether some are good or evil. Mina, for example, unintentionally assists Dracula and yet still endures the pain of her “transformation”. Lucy Westerna transforms into a vampire, unplanned of course, making her a highly controversial character in the novel as well.…

Although they have these differences, both works employ supernatural elements to increase the magnitude of the conflict between the good and the evil. Although both works are fine examples of the Horror genre in the 19th century, Dracula, by Bram Stoker, incorporates and develops the qualities found in most Horror works better due to its longer length and its greater use of direct, person-vs-person,…
