On January 19, 2010 i40films uploaded a music video of Jason Michael Carroll’s song “Alyssa Lies” which Carroll wrote in October 2006. The music video depicts a very clear and evocative message to the target audience—children are being abused and some do not have the strength to come forward about their abuse and like Alyssa some are being beat to death. With a strong appeal to pathos, the video targets the audience’s emotions and values as it works to motivate viewers to help end child abuse and to encourage those who are victims of abuse to come forward.
