A murderer’s point of view is an interesting view to read a story from. Many times in these tales the murderer is seeking revenge on an enemy. In Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Cask Of Amontillado”, the main character, Montresor, gets revenge on his enemy, Fortunato. Montresor plans his death very skillfully and wisely, like an expert. He tricks Fortunato, makes sure no one find out, and enjoys himself while doing it. Montresor uses Fortunato’s the fact of how drunk he is to his advantage.
