With an infrastructure that is inept to hold its current population, Mexico City has an augmenting issue of homelessness with a homeless population lacking the bare necessities to function in a city such as "running water, drainage, or garbage-collecting systems." With contaminated air from the immense amount of cars and buses, alongside the overwhelming amount of trash, citizens of Mexico City are exposed to debilitating air that risks their health and overall wellbeing. However, as new capitalinos, or residents of Mexico City, move into the city for their opportunity at a better life, they are met with an overflowing city that cannot bare to hold any more people. Instead, the new capitalinos arrive and are coerced into having to live in shacks by roads, by or in the garbage disposals due to their inadequate
