Agoraphobia is similar to claustrophobia, but there are minor differences. Someone with this condition could become homebound, meaning they will never leave their house. This is another one of the many mental illnesses that thousands of people suffer from. There are two types of bipolar disorders, there is bipolar i disorder, and bipolar ii disorder. Bipolar one disorder is the more severe of the two, it is manic episodes that can last up to seven days, and sometimes require immediate hospital care. Many times with this type of bipolar disorder a person can have a depressive episode that can last for up to two weeks. Many times the manic episodes and depressive episodes can happen at the same time, which can cause a lot of damage to an individual's mental health. Bipolar i disorder is a pattern of depressive episodes, which can last anywhere from a few weeks to months. Someone with bipolar disorder can have “highs” and “lows,” some of the highs are reckless behavior, hallucinations, aggressive behavior, and racing speech or thoughts. Some of the lows are, prolonged sadness or crying spells, unexplained aches and pains, loss of energy, and recurring thoughts of death or suicide. It mainly affects older people, and it is not curable, however treatment may help. Both of the bipolar disorders can last for years or be lifelong. With the symptoms and hospital requirement one could see that this is a very serious disorder that should be treated as any other illness would. Someone with bipolar disorder could suffer daily.
