The lost boys decided to flee when there was an executive military, from the opposing side, order to kill all of the boys at young ages, to try and prevent the spread of the Dinka and Nuer ethnic group. This had all of the young boys up and fleeing in the middle of the night for their lives. The reason that the lost boys decided to settle in Kenya, also known as the pull factor, was because they were hungry and tired, they were safe there, and the main reason was that they had a refugee camp up, ready and waiting for their arrival. Another example of push and pull factors are when some of the Lost Boys decided to go to the U.S. Push factors not a lot of food, education, or opportunities in Kenya, and a pull was more food in America, better education, better opportunities, and all-around better
