Because of the times, ancient Egypt royals wanted a pure bloodline because they thought the royals were descendants of the gods. If you didn’t know, ancient Egypt didn’t know that this would cause birth defects that would deforming them and could making them pass away faster. So they married and would have children with close family members. His father and mother were brother and sister. King Tutankhamun had a clubfoot and a cleft palate. So he was a deformed acute cripple that had to walk with a cane. He also had other birth defects that are caused from inbreeding. Experts have been able to prove this through testing like DNA and CAT scans. It doesn’t stop there for King Tutankhamun, he also married his half sister, Ankhesenamun. So when they had children they were stillborn or died right after birth because of severe birth defects from all of the inbreeding. King Tutankhamun is believed to have died from malaria, infection, and overall bad health which started from obviously started from birth. He was only 19 years old when he died but those 19 years were difficult because of his health. At least he lived longer than either of his daughters that they found in a very small newborn coffins in his tomb. Let's also not forget the fact that instead of having a good permid like a king should he had a pretty bad one. It was one that was probably for a lesser noble but because of his quick death. They didn’t have time to build a nice pyramid. Maybe if he wasn’t born from inbreeding he would have been healthy and he lived longer. He could have made more of a name for himself, and gotten a nice pyramid. Maybe if inbreeding wasn’t a problem he would have had an heir to continue on after him. But bad health caused him to have a poor death that was rushed and because of this his tomb was lost in debri for thousands of years. King Tutankhamun was forgotten about until his tomb was found in 1922 and he will not be forgotten
