This was the set society had forced on women. In pride and Prejudice Mrs. Bennet Elizabeth’s mother forced her to get married to marry Mr. Collins because he was about to inherit an estate. Mrs. Bennet was more into the thought that the more wealthy the person is the more happiness he can give to her daughters but Elizabeth wasn’t pleased by her mother’s thought and he refuses the proposal as she believes that love is more important than married. Further, the circumstances for her friend wasn’t same as Elizabeth’s as she was getting older and didn’t find anyone that she liked latter she end up marrying Mr. Collins not because she loves him but only because she was bound with the thought that married is very important for women. As the education was limited for women’s they can’t become wealthy themselves so in order to live a good life they had to choose money over
