Montag has taken a bible and is going to bring it to Faber 's house. When Montag knocked on the door, Faber was about to open the door and he was described “The front door opened slowly. Faber peered out, looking very old in the light and very fragile and very much afraid.” Faber is shown as a frail and cowardice character.
