The Catholic church views marriage as having two purposes, one being procreation, and the other being as a unity between the two sexes (68). Homosexuality does not apply to this view of marriage as homosexual couples cannot reproduce and it is only a unity between one sex. To push one’s views on sexuality onto another is immoral. People who force their religious views onto others do not think of the suffering that they put people through when they force their beliefs on sexual orientation onto them. Sexual orientation is a human trait which cannot be controlled, therefore, condemning those who are homosexual is wrong because it is not the lifestyle that they chose, but the one that they were …show more content…
People not being able to decide whether someone lives or dies is not fair. Most of these people have never experienced situations where they have suffered for years and no longer want to continue with their life, therefore, they do not have the right to force others to suffer because several people consider it against their religion. The worst part is that there are situations where passive euthanasia is acceptable to Christians, thus making death by not acting perfectly acceptable, but death in a safe, controlled situations not. It does not make sense that it is frowned upon to help stop people from suffering excruciating pain, yet, it is acceptable to allow people’s live to go its course and die in pain. Living lives of excruciating pain is not something that people should have to go through, not allowing these people to die on their own terms is wrong because it is wrong to force people’s lives to continue when they have no desire to live
