Homeless individuals throughout the city of Chicago are scattered in the streets. Their signs are unappealing to those they’re trying to receive money from. However, a Chicago art student named Ian Todd constructed a project that required him to create hand lettered signs that took about 10 hours each to complete. His goal was to capture people’s attention and as a result it would increase the amount of money homeless people are receiving. In addition, more people would begin to talk about the homeless individuals. This would raise awareness and could possibly lead to new laws that would increase the number of homeless shelters.
