After the oncoming of Marxism, economic ideologies like capitalism and consumerism played a huge role which made money as capita and production and consumption of it as a life goal. Marxism an ideological concept developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels was based on the interpretation that social groups are driven by production of wealth. A further analysis led to the understanding of a capitalist economy where social change occurs due to the struggle between different economic classes competing to improve their conditions, where proletariat faces oppression and also spends his life for the gains of wealthy ruling class. All social and cultural institutions like education, family, law, mass media, etc. were interlinked by the economic structures of the society. Therefore to understand the role played by mass media it was vital to understand the economic realities of a system. In a contemporary scenario an increasing number of people are becoming aware of the fact that 99% of the Earth’s population is controlled by an elite 1% – but what is even more fascinating is that, one family, the Rothschilds, rule everything, even that elite 1%.
