Gossip occurs frequently in the play. Most of the gossiping that occurs in the play is positive, but there are some negative aspects that occur. The positive gossiping that happens involves Don Pedro, Leonato, Ursula and Hero. When Benedict overhears Leonato and Don Pedro talk about Beatrice. On social media, when people gossip, they aren’t doing it face to face. So they have more courage and more blunt about what they say. Celebrities and even normal people are always getting in twitter wars, or posting post about how they hate someone. In reality television, negative gossiping happens a lot. It may be the producers telling the castmates to do it, or it could be the castmates doing it to get “camera time” but either way there is a lot of drama and gossiping. As human beings, people love the drama and love to watch it on television. So that is why people gossip and start drama in reality television.
With this essay ending, there are positive and negative gossiping. In the play, it shows both positive and negative. By having Beatrice and Benedict getting together and there friends helping them by gossiping, that is positive. Don John’s servant listening to Don Pedro and Claudio talk about Hero, and then saying something about it to Don John that is negative gossiping. In the real world, all gossip is negative because of the social media wars, people not being nice and reality
