through out the book. The themes that I will be talking about is Power and
Deception, Control, and Persistence. Orwell shows these themes all though
the book about how the pigs Deceive the animal to gain control and power as
well as showing the persistence of the other animals.
The two themes Power and Deception are shown all through the book 'Animal
Farm' Squealer is just one of the pigs who deceive the other animals for
Napoleon to gain power. “The others said of Squealer that he could turn black
into white.” Orwell shows us how the government used the media to deceive
the other lower stupider class people. Napoleon would be the government,

At the start Napoleon trained and used the dogs to get Snowball out of the
picture. By Napoleon doing so all the control goes to him. Later on Napoleon
kills some of the other animals to keep them in line and so everyone is to
scared to speak up.
The third major theme that Orwell explores on Animal Farm was persistence.
One example of persistence is Boxer. He would get up earlier than anyone
else and work harder than anyone else. Boxer is repenting the Russian
working class people. When the other animals were failing to pull up the big
rocks for the windmill it was boxer who made it possible. A second example
of persistence is where Snowball designs the plans for the windmill. Even
though Napoleon was so rude to Snowball and saying its a waste of time
Snowball continued to work and work on it. The third example of persistence
is where the sheep blindly sing 4 legs good 2 legs bad. Some people, not only
persist in working hard and achieving great things, but also blindly follow
others orders. Even what Squealer changed the words they were singing to 4
legs good 2 legs better. They still persistence in singing the new words for
