Foreshadow In The Odyssey

The epic that is called The Odyssey has inspired lots of new epics in this time and was one of the two most famous greek poem that was an epic poem. Homer, the author of The Odyssey first before he starts his narrative he concludes to a tradition of the greek culture a prayer to the muses. This prayer is an essential part of the story because there is many foreshadows, but the main foreshadow is that homer includes that Odysseus was the only survivor that hasn’t died trying. There was many groups of greeks that were in the Trojan War, many that sacrificed for safe travel, and many that didn’t. Odysseus and his crew were soldiers in the war, but they were the only ones not to sacrifice for their safe travel. The Odyssey is an epic poem and it uses many magical, emotional, and physical barriers for the greeks.

There is more than just one adventure or Journey Homer involves the family back home waiting for Odysseus in the epic. Telemachus and Penelope, Telemachus is a young boy that is trying to prove himself to his father, Penelope is a loving wife trying to keep the kingdom steady for Odysseus. She is a inside character only shows up when taking care of the house, but in mind she is always with Inman. Inman in the beginning he comes imagines himself as young boy before the war at school. He looks out the window and remembers all the times when he learns a lesson.
