In the murder of King Duncan, Sir Macbeth will be charged with first degree murder. The evidence of the murder is that he could be heard saying “I have done the deed.” (2.2.14) just moments after King Duncan soul lefts his body. Macbeth is somewhat telling on himself. He brutally murders the guards who were already drunk and passed out thanks to Lady Macbeth. It’s as if Lady Macbeth got the guards so drunk that they passed out for a reason. Maybe to keep the guards out of Macbeths way of killing the late King. While everyone was gathered grieving the late King, Macbeth out of nowhere comes from somewhere breathing as if he was running.
