Examples Of Injustice In To Kill A Mockingbird

"To Kill a Mockingbird" took place in the town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the early 1930s. Scout and her brother Jem were raised by their father Atticus because their mother passed away when they were very young. Calpurnia is an African-American housekeeper who works for the family, she also is a big help to the kids. Atticus Finch, Jean Lousie Finch, and Tom Robinson experienced injustice in “To Kill a Mockingbird”.
Scout witnessed injustice in “To Kill a Mockingbird” when she attended a family get together for Christmas. She got in trouble, for beating up her cousin, even though her uncle would not listen to her side of the story. Scout went outside with her cousin and he will wouldn’t stop calling her father a "Nigger Lover". So Scout hit him and so he went inside to tell his mother. So Scouts uncle came outside and yelled at her without listening to what she had to say. This is an example of injustice because Scout did not get to share her side of the story. One of the times that Atticus received injustice is when the guys from the country went to the jail and are ready to kill Tom Robinson. The only reason the guys didn’t beat up Atticus is because his daughter ran up to him and talked both their ways out of it. This is an example of injustice because this gang of guys wanted to take out Atticus so that they could get to Tom. Atticus was also spit on by Bob Ewell. He spit on his face because Atticus was defending Tom Robinson. Atticus was assigned to Tom during the trial.
