Introduction:
In modern day society there are many types of people who are underrepresented and neglected by the legal system. Minors who commit crimes or "juvenile delinquents", are one of the many people who are prosecuted and later treated badly. Due to their age they are sent to separate facilities, where they can serve their time with other adolescents. In these facilities the staff are taught to deal with criminals and not how to treat the juveniles who have different needs as young adults or even as young adolescents. These among many other things are the reason why change should occur in the legal system for "juvenile delinquents", and with certain adjustments I think these adolescents can be better supported in these situations. With reforms to the prosecution process and the actual centers themselves, the attendees of these detentions centers will face less adversities than they did prior to the changes.

In the society we live in everyone deserves proper representation, no matter who or what age they happen to be. In the case where the defendant cannot afford or hire an attorney, the state will provide an attorney to represent the defendant. Those who commit minor offenses such as graffiti, possession of paraphernalia, petty theft can be brought into a detention center even the crimes were the first ones that the juvenile had done. This can crowd up the detention center with people who necessarily don’t need to be there. When you integrate those who just commit a crime with longer residents then it’s more likely they will pick up habits from them.
