Breast cancer screenings detect cancer early on and it can affect anyone regardless of their age. Early detection can lead to treatments for the disease and therefore an increase in one’s life span. The quality of mammogram equipment and treatment for breast cancer has improved over the years, resulting in a more accurate diagnosis. Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms in their facilities, they can only refer patients, what they do provide is breast cancer screenings and breast exams.
