New technology is constantly changing, which means people are having less face-to-face interaction. Did you know according to an article entitled, Communication Changes with Technology, Social Media written by Hayley Eastmen; about 4.1 billion text messages are sent per day in the United States. I can see how this is so true all you have to do is pull it out of your pocket, it is the furthermost convenient invention ever made. The internet gives us a new way at looking at the World as one whole, it has made cultural activities easier and more accessible to exchange ideas, catch up the latest hot topic, and learn about the weather for the upcoming week. Because of technology, we are allowed to communicate with other countries, talk to different people to learn their language, beliefs, values, norms, behaviors, and even learn about material objects that are passed from one generation to the next, according to chapter 2 in the textbook, Sociology a Down to Earth Approach.
