Energy Compare and Contrast
Energy is very easy to find. Energy has many sources such as natural, nuclear, artificial and many more. In this research paper, the explanation of fossil fuel, solar, wind, water, and bioconversion will be told. The introduction of thermodynamics, and the Energy Policy Act of 2005 will be provided also. There are two provisions of the Energy Policy act that will be described and matched to the united states energy goals.
Energy Compare And Contrast
To begin, with the available energy sources first must understand thermodynamics. Thermodynamics is the study of heat, work, and energy …show more content…
Meaning that those plants produce close to 800.6 TWh of electricity in the Worlds. Basically it's 20% of the energy generation. When you look at the financial cost it's actually cheap. Nuclear energy generation is cost-competitive. Nuclear energy is cheaper than oil, gas, and coal. It is also reliable, and stable. When people think of nuclear they think bombs, but nuclear energy has low pollution. The environmental effects are light compared to others, yet the waste can be harmful to humans and the earth. Bringing us to the radioactive waste, the release is carbon dioxide. Also with the dangers of radioactive the radiation harmed close to 30,000 people from the Chernobyl accident. Still there are 2.5 million Ukrainians with …show more content…
The governments has been working on making wind energy a reliable and constant source of energy. Wind Energy is effective and efficient which surely makes it a reliable factor in the coming years. Wind power accounts for 2.5% of total global electricity production. They are growing at a promising rate of 25% per year. Prices have decreased over 80% since 1980 and are expected to keep decreasing. The costs associated with wind power are small. Residential wind turbines stops energy savings but protects homeowners from power outages. Some disadvantage include Winds at a fluctuating source of energy and is not ready to meet the base load of energy demand. Manufacturing and installation of wind turbines requires heavy money investments in commercial and residential. Wind turbines can be a threat to wildlife and noise is regularly reported as a problem by neighboring
