Drake's early life has been just the start of his career. Born October 24, 1986, his childhood was split between two avenues of midtown Toronto. His music was very unique due to his lyrics and many people started to notice. Drake began performing when he was only fifteen years old and he acted in 2001 on the show Degrassi: The Next Generation. He got fired from that show in 2008 and met Lil Wayne, who also became his mentor. This was the start of his singing career.
