Imagine our country, The United States of America, if the Declaration of Independence have never been organized and signed. The Declaration Of Independence is one of our country's most prized and valued pieces of democratic writing. Without it we would not have the freedom and rights we have today. The founders of this piece, state in the very beginning , “We hold these truths to be self evident…”, by saying that, they are referring to not just the 13 colonies, but instead to all people, no matter where they live and work. Think how silly it would sound it a king said, "I grant you the right to breathe", for oneself already had that right the moment the entered Earth. The King or a Government can't grant you that, they can only take away that right. The fact that the author capitalized the three unalienable rights, really emphasizes the point that they are so important and, they will always be there for us. Because of the word “endowed”, any policy that was contrary to enumerated rights, could only be abolished and taken away by the ”Creator”. Any government cannot give any individual any more rights than the creator has already granted, or in this case, "endowed" them. Furthermore, if any government tries to curtail a right as, "inalienable", as "Life, or Liberty or the Pursuit of Happiness", then that gives the right to the people to abolish that
