For a teacher to have complete control over your grade means that even if a student gave his or her best on what has been assigned, he or she would not get the grade for effort, but for how many mistakes and flaws he or she has made; however, this does not apply to every teacher or class. As for the rules and policies of the school, I understand that it is necessary and some policies are a must-have. However, there are some rules that aren’t necessary, and it is limiting the freedom of students. Examples includes the cellphone policy and dress code policy. Students shall have the freedom for using their cellphones during school, since they are the ones responsible for their education, not the teachers. As for dress code, students should have the freedom to dress freely, there is really no point of restricting what they wear and punishing them for breaking it. In addition, students shall have the control over what they learn. Students have the ability to choose their classes, however they have to have the necessary classes: English, Math, History, Science; and they cannot drop any of these classes that they do not like or are not interested
