“What?” The Captain responded nonchalantly like it was a simple new matter of routine.
“Ships, Sir,” responded the First Mate now turning away from the binoculars he was peering through.
Annoyed, the Captain responded to the perceived flippancy, “of course there are ships! Be more specific?”
The first mate gestured for the captain to take the binoculars. The bewildered captain of the Mary O’Finn then took his turn to peer into the spectacles in awe, “it can’t be...” …show more content…
“Call a doctor!” A bystander shouted. “He must be having a heart attack!” Shouted another. The cries for help were quickly muted when his body split into two symmetrical parts like a giant zipper, not unlike the child in the park before. A woman screamed in terror. Comments of, “maybe it’s terrorists”, “a medical accident”, and “could it be mechanical?” could be heard from the follow office workers and dispatchers before Jack spoke up to the group, “shut up will yeah? We want to hear the son-of-a-bitch!”
In the cab of Bakerton 505 a Skelan held the driver in its right hand by the neck over its head. Its left hand creaked and crackled as it reached, once again, for the candlestick shaped microphone. It squeezed the trigger and proclaimed again, this time in plain but accented English, “we have your train!” After a moment’s pause it added to that repeated original message with the ominous, “and the flesh creatures within!” It then squeezed what remaining life there was in the driver from his neck and tossed him aside like general
