They both played out very differently though. Both the colonists and French people were inspired by the idea of freedom and rights, but set up their revolutions differently.
The French and the American revolutions were very similar in the way that civilians wanted to rebel against their governments. The need for democracy and freedom of rights fueled common citizens to overthrow monarchs. Acts of rebellion like The Boston Tea Party and
Bastille Day were similar turning points for
