Compare Interviews In my two interviews, I talked to two people from the Church of Christ faith and also two people from the Baptist faith. In both interviews, I received different answers from each person but I also saw some of the same patterns in the answers they all gave. That’s what I am looking at and breaking down today. The first question in both interviews was “What image of God?” In the Church of Christ interview, the older woman (Carolyn) said she didn’t see God as being an actual physical being. However, the younger woman (Thai) said she saw God as being an actual fair skin man. These answers are almost similar to the answers that I received in the Baptist interview. Just like in the first interview, the older woman (Brenda) …show more content…
Carolyn went about it in a biblical by stating that “It says in Hebrews that God chastises his children like father and a son”. Thai went on to say that God punishes people for anything that he considers a sin. While these two are the Church of Christ interviewees, the Baptist interviewees went on to say similar things. Brenda stated “God will let you get what you deserve” and Roderic stated people get what they deserve based on their actions. These are both similar to the answers given in the first interview. The only difference I see is that Carolyn actually quoted scripture which could make it seem like a more mature answer. Other than that, the other three answers all had the same base response with slightly different explanations. The last question was “What is the purpose of human life, to gain access to heaven or to live as good a life as possible?” In both interviews, the answers were almost identical. Carolyn and Thai both said that living the good life will get you to heaven. In the second interview, the answers were very similar. Brenda said living the Christian life will give you a good life and access to heaven and Roderic said “Gaining access to heaven is what makes your life as good as possible.” Very similar answers from all four shows that there is no rea differences with age or religious

“Set your affections on things above; love one another; commune at the table of our Lord in one spirit; worship in spirit and in truth; and if daily adoring, imploring, and living the divine Life, Truth, Love, thou shalt partake of the bread that cometh down from heaven, drink of the cup of salvation, and be baptized in Spirit,” wrote Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 (Christian Science Versus Pantheism). Mrs. Eddy (as she is colloquially referred to by her followers) was the woman who came to found the Christian Science religion, based on the metaphysical New Thought movement, in 1879 (Christian Science, “What is Christian Science?”). For individuals who are born into the modern Christian Science church, understanding the concept of “divinity” in the…

I really liked that she interviewed a variety of people because it makes everything feel more real. I think that adding a victim’s family to her list was a smart idea. It lets us see how they feel not only towards their loss, but also towards the prisoner.…

As a society, we choose how to respond to them based on our moral virtues that develop from our upbringing. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “Morality is beliefs about what is right behavior and what is wrong behavior.” As humans, we tend to justify what is right and wrong. Being raised in the Catholic faith, I was taught the ten commandments which comes from the Holy Bible.…
