Case Study Two - Emotional Development
You can create a story for a child to spice up his/her emotions in line with an expected situation bearing in mind that children learn by playing and imitation.
Taking for instance, Oge was dropped by her mother at her aunty's place to stay while her mother attends a function. Do you know that Oge's aunty whom Oge and her mother trusted very well was not who they believed her to be. No sooner Oge's mother left, than the aunty started caressing Oge. Instead of Oge being tantalized reacted negatively and shouted at her, "stop it," "I don't like it," "I will tell my mum. The Aunty was shocked and felt very much ashamed and left her alone".
Such stories would send a good message into the child. "Tell me my love, what will you do if you were the one? Will you act wisely as a child of God and do as Oge did, by shunning the person?" From the above simple and little story, you have taught the child what to do, and no matter how dull the child is, he/she will give you the exact answer you expect. This is teaching a child with basic protective tools. An
