Popularity is a dictator’s addiction. Without popularity, there would be no way for dictators to achieve their ultimate goal. Hitler’s popularity grew quickly due to his leadership of the Nazi Party. His political ideologies allowed him to grow in fame, gaining more supporters, and eventually being elected the leader of Germany. Hitler and the Nazi party prided themselves on brainwashing the German population, thus increasing his popularity. The people of Germany believed Hitler to be everything that he wasn 't, and that is why he was so popular. If the people of Germany knew the truths behind Hitler’s actions, his fame would have diminished. His lying and manipulation, a common quality to a dictator, led immensely to his vast popularity. Hitler was politically popular, contrasting to the socially popular Regina George. Regina George, much like Hitler was extremely popular, everyone knew her name. Every dictator wants a perfect admirer. Hitler prided himself on promoting racial purity; he believed the Aryan race to be perfect due to their traits consisting of piercing blue eyes, beautiful blond hair, and tall stature. Hitler emphasized the perfection of the Aryan’s by discriminating against all other races. Hitler brainwashed much of the German population to believe Aryan’s to be perfect, and all others to be inferior. He not only made Aryan’s sound like the superior race, but Hitler also influenced much of Germany to wish to resemble Aryan people. Hitler is a perfect representation of a dictator who singled out his “perfect” group. This is very similar to the image of a perfect girl that Regina created at North Shore High School. Regina, the queen of the school, practically invented and persuaded what the ideal girl was to look like. Much like Hitler, Regina’s image was based on good looks, opulent style, and utter popularity. Regina made her own group of perfect girls at North Shore called “The Plastics”. “The Plastics”, much like the Aryans, were admired and envied by others. Regina’s “Plastics” all fit the standards of beauty, popularity, and style that Regina required as a dictator.
