Henry sat in front of it ,watching it ; this was the only time Henry were still. Lyman stated that “It was the kind of stillness that you see in a rabbit when it freezes and before it will bolt.”(4) He sat in the chair, gripping the armrests with all his might as if the chair itself was moving at a high speed. As Lyman watched TV with Henry, he heard his teeth click on something. Henry had bitten through the bottom of his lip; blood was going down from his chin. At dinner Henry continued to let the blood drip as if he did not notice it. His own blood was mixed in with his food! Lyman and the mother now knew that they had to get help for Henry. They did not want to take him to the hospital because the mom felt like it would do Henry any justice. She said “ They don't fix them in those places...they just give them drugs”. (4) Henry was thought to have a mental illness known as PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).This is a disorder people get from being in wars , surviving hurricanes , sexual assault or physical abuse. It also affects your life as well as the others around
