There is a high amount of creative treatment of actuality that can be seen throughout the film. Examples of this is the unbelievable amount of cane toads present in one area of land, this is done to over exaggerate the idea of how cane toads are taking over the country and are everywhere. Another representation of creative treatment of actuality can be seen in the story of Wallace the dog who became ill due to consumption of cane toad poison. There is a particular scene in the story where the dog can be seen on a hospital bed being rushed into an ER for treatment by several doctors when in reality he would have just been driven to the vet.
