App Name: Boogyman - There’s No Reason to Be Afraid

App Overview:
Boogyman is an app designed to encourage college students to attend workout classes offered by their university. The aim is to eliminate the social anxiety of large and small classes by showing students which fellow classmates will, or will not, be in attendance.
College is a time that every single student is faced with responsibilities; one of the responsibilities college students often have trouble with is staying healthy - you’ve heard of the “freshman fifteen.” According to Fitness for Weight Loss, one of the top reasons that people do not go to the gym is because they do not have anyone to go with. Also, college is a stressful time where according to Seventeen Magazine, 63% of college students will experience anxiety during their first year. Boogyman’s aim is to provide services that will lower this anxiety and take away the excuses.

Not only to we get to teach them valuable lessons about business, advertising, and creating a product, but they get the opportunity to teach us their technology skills including but not limited to Wix and proto.io. Participating in the Compass Project would not only be beneficial for us college students, as we get to learn how to use this technology for future endeavors, but also the high schoolers by receiving insight into a college business class.
Giving back to the community is something that our team is interested in as we complete our Madden Challenge project. Our app idea plans to give back to the community by eliminating workout-class-anxiety and encouraging more students to go to the gym.
