Words : 907 Ludwig van Beethoven Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and a pianist. He was born in Bonn , Beethoven portrayed his musical talents at a very early age and was taught by his father, Johann van Beethoven. when he was 21 he moved to Vienna, where he started studying composition as well as gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He lived in Vienna until his death. By his late 20s his hearing began to worsen, and by the last decade of his life he was almost completely deaf. In 1811 he gave up conducting and performing in public but continued to compose in private. Ludwig was born on or about December 16, 1770. Beethoven's composition was never performed, However, more than a century later, Johannes Brahms discovered that Beethoven had in fact composed a "beautiful and noble" piece of music called Cantata on the Death of Emperor Joseph II. It is now known as his earliest masterpiece that was overlooked at the time but is now a very highly profound piece of music in the classical world.
In 1792 , Beethoven decided to leave his hometown and go back to Vienna once again. Mozart had passed away a year earlier.In Vienna, Beethoven dedicated himself almost entirely to musical studies with the most distinguished musicians of the century. He studied piano with Haydn, vocal composition with Antonio Salieri and counterpoint with Johann Albrechtsberger.
