It is sad to think that 93% of crops grown in the U.S are genetically modified and our government cares more about a profit than its peoples health. GMOs must be stopped. The government is using GMOs to get a better yield out of their crops and to help fight against pesticides. But when fighting against pests they have to genetically modify our food so they can spray it down with a whole bunch of pesticides and in the end you are eating what was drenched in pesticides. Humans and animals are consuming GMOs and GMOs could be harmful to our health. The United States can ban GMOs altogether to get rid of the risks that they bring to our environment and our health. We, America have a big problem. GMOs are in many everyday foods that we consume. It is wrong to think that we don’t know much of what we are actually eating, and that I believe is wrong. Many organizations such as the Non GMO Project are trying to counter the GMO movement but …show more content…
Monarch butterflies are mainly at risk from GMO plants. In addition to bees and butterflies, birds are also at risk from pesticides and herbicides, and work as pollinators, like bees.

A solution to GMOs would be out right banning them because it would limit the damage we cause our environment and improve our country's overall health. It is sad to think that 93% of crops grown in the U.S are genetically modified. It is also sad that our government cares more about a profit than its peoples health. If we don’t figure out something to restrict the use or completely ban the use of GMOs, then we will start to see drastic negative changes in our health and our environment. Some laws in other countries consist of complete extinction of GMOs.
People need to really start thinking about what they are putting in their body and really start pushing for the abolishment of GMOs. After all, the people of America can only benefit from eating GMO free. 26 countries have banned GMOs why can't we be the
