Please accept my sincere apology for the use or threat of use of physical force on August 12, 2016. It was wrong of me and I truly apologize. I can appreciate how hurt and frustrated you all are given the consequences of my actions and the trouble I have caused. I take full and complete responsibility for my actions and I hope y’all can do the same. It was wrong of me to behave as I did. There is no excuse for that type of behavior. Please be assured that I have taken all the necessary measures so that this type of mistake never happens again. I deeply regret it ever having happened at all and I am willing to do whatever it takes to correct the situation.
Once again, I apologize and humbly ask for your forgiveness.
Sincerely,
Domonique Hill

    Hawaii Apology Analysis

The main point of the apology was the u.s government saying they are sorry for the overthrow back on January 17 1893. Also that they are sorry for forcing the queen out of power without a fair reason for taking over Hawaii. I think that the apology resolution was important the the Hawaiian nation because, after the overthrow hawaii was forced into the u.s.a without being able to run things the way the hawaiian people wanted. For example as soon as hawaii was annexed in the the u.s they came to hawaii and took hawaiian lands and used it for the u.s needs and it pretty much took over the hawaiian sugar plantation fields so many people lost jobs and it was hard being under the u.s rules now. Another example of why it was important to the hawaiian…

This was a well known symbolic strategy that has a major impact on the Indigenous peoples. The main message of the speech was to apologize to the indigenous for all the mistreatment that they caused in the past and the effect that it had on them and their families. This was a way to try and remove barriers and build a better relationship and bring reconciliation one step closing by realising their mistakes and sincerely apologizing for all the mistreatment caused. Yes i do believe that this was important to the Hawaiian Nation because still today hawaii is apart of the U.S,to me i think that the constitution is where is pulled hawaii down, especially because we lost our hawaiian kingdom, the only thing we have left is the stories we can only hear about the over throw on our hawaiian monarchy.…

On August 17, 1998 President Bill Clinton delivered a speech to the American public addressing an inappropriate relationship with a former White House Intern, Monica Lewinsky. In comparison to Robert M. Eisingers “The Political Non-Apology” Clinton 's public apology has some of the characteristics of a full apology but, is predominantly a non-apology. Although, acknowledges the offense committed, he minimizes his offense throughout the speech and plays the victim card in attempts to potentially restore his reputation. At some points he attempts to apologize, but his choice of words diminish the effectiveness of his apology and his form of non-apologizing is used to his advantage. Clinton appears to meet some of the criteria of a full apology;…

The Socratic practice, as presented in The Apology through Socrates’s explanation of it and his way of implementing it, relies on its implementer being perceived as truthful and disinterested in wealth, while simultaneously questioning the perceived knowledge amongst individuals of authority. Socrates’s form of philosophical discussion forced the burden of the conversation upon his opponents though this questioning. In the Republic, Socrates provides an apt example of the Socratic practice as he argues against Thrasymachus. The first and foremost aspect of Socrates’s rhetoric is that he claims to speak only the truth. In the Apology, Socrates begins his speech by saying to his fellow Athenians that “From me you will hear the whole truth,…

Apologizing is usually what a person would do if they have done something wrong, or if they have personally hurt another individual. However, sometimes an apology is given when it is something that people have done in the past. There have been so many wrongs in the past that some people still feel the need to be apologizing for them, and some people still feel they are owed an apology from the governments of the involved countries. In “A Sorry State”, Mitch Miyagawa discusses the many apologies that have been given out by governments around the world and what those apologies truly accomplish. There has been an apology given for every war, every case of discrimination, and every misguided choice.…

‘The Apology’ written by Socrates most famous student Plato, is a Socrates dialogue where he is defending himself from the accusations of corrupting the youth and not believing in the gods of Athens. He tells the court that these accusations are false and he does believe in the gods of Athens. He also tells them that he did not corrupt the youth, in fact the youth followed him on their own free will. According to Socrates the problem was that people who called themselves wise were not actually very wise, their knowledge was based on ignorance thinking that they were wise and he wanted to help them see that true knowledge was knowing nothing rather than believing that they know everything. As philosophy is based on questioning everything,…
