When I am thinking of ethical topic within digital realm, the first thing comes to my mind is the advertising campaign of American Apparel. American Apparel is an American clothing manufacturer, designer, distributor, marketer. The company filed for bankruptcy in October, 2015. (Kim) American Apparel is famous for their extremely risqué advertising. Not only are AA’s models often scantily clad, many look underage and vulnerable. AA is no stranger to controversy because of having sexual objectification of women, and making it as the selling point in their advertising campaign.

Government has strict laws in order to fight against child pornography. Relevant laws and regulations to combat child pornography was revised in 2002 by Canadian government. It is illegal to spread pornographic photographs, films, videos to minors who are under age of eighteen. Government has the right to remove inappropriate images and data online. In addition, the law is focused on the bad impact among minors in terms of television and movies, it is required to mark “14+” or “18+” when it shows pornographic or violence content.
