The therapy will then moved into the second phase, which is investigating the lifestyle. In this phase, the therapist will use various techniques to gain understanding about the family atmosphere around the child, family constellation of the child, early recollections that the child remembers and the purpose behind the child’s behavior (Kottman, 1999). The therapist will conduct interview with the child’s significant other such as parent or sibling to gain a better understanding of the lifestyle (Daigneault, 1999). Family atmosphere will be the relationship between the child and the parent and siblings, goals hold by the parent that was implied on the child, family values and more. Family constellations will be the birth order of the child and how they interact with other child. The child begins to gain more comprehension towards his or her own lifestyle. The child will then begin to have consideration on whether he or she shouldr make some changes (Kottman, 2001). This phase is to help the child to come to a realization of his or her own misbehavior and consider on whether he or she should make some changes toward it. Instead of the therapists pointing it out directly to the child, the therapist in this particular phase is to guide the child to realize it by their own. The Adlerian play therapists will used various techniques to help the child to come to a realization. The techniques are by disclosing the purpose of the behavior, discussing conclusion about the gathered information of lifestyle, self-disclosure and by pointing out how the behavior in the playroom is similar to those outside of the playroom (Kottman & Warlick,
