A hero is classified as a person or character that in the face of danger, or in a position of weakness, displays courage, selflessness, bravery, and self sacrifice, for a reason of goodness that comes from the heart and not for fame. Wolverine displays all these trait that a hero needs, but not just at a time of weakness, he displays them at all times. For that very reason, Wolverine truly deserves the title of a “hero.” Above all Wolverine's appearance, powers and abilities and the lessons he teaches the world help exemplify what a superior hero really is.

Wolverine is a true hero as a result of his appearance. Wolverine has a posture of both human and wolf. As a human, Wolverine is known as “Logan,” he looks like an ordinary human, but

Wolverine’s natural healing factor also gives him immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases. For example, it is nearly impossible for him to become intoxicated from drinking alcohol. Also because of Wolverine’s healing factor, his mind is highly resistant to telepathic assault and probing. He is able to prevent people from reading his mind and therefore it gives him the element of surprise. In addition, Wolverine’s healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Although over a century old, Wolverine is as healthy and physically fit as a man in his youth. Wolverine's healing factor secures him in a spot as one of the toughest heroes to kill, infact according to Marvel he is “their” toughest hero to kill ( Marvel awarded him with the title “Marvel's most unkillable hero”). Wolverine also possesses superhuman senses, these senses make him like a wolf. Wolverine is capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than a normal human’s.
