Unfortunately, over time, the word Christian has lost much of its meaning and is often used today to refer to a religious person or with high moral values, whether or not a true disciple of God. Many people who do not believe in God regard themselves as Christians only because they go to church or live in a Christian nation. But to go to church, to help the poor, to be a good person does not make you a Christian. Going to church does not make you a Christian any more than going to a garage does not make you an automobile. Being a member of a church, attending church services regularly and making donations to church does not make you a Christian.
