The civil war was a harsh time for colored people due to the racism and injustice. It was a cold world fulfilled with brutality and inhumanity in where everyone detested African Americans. Although the segregation and most importantly racism was considered over, it remained a part of their life only to torment them. As mentioned, the slavement ended, but colored people were destined to work as slaves and continued being attacked. Racism has revolved America for years, the proposition of Abraham Lincoln was misused, and until now racism remains one of the most common things in this country. The solutions that have been brought up, are a significant way to calm racism and sooner end the tragedy.
